1.
Silent morning, precious day Wake with glory, come now, stay Bells from far rang one, two, three Heard from their bed through their tangled sheets She was worried what he'd say When she told him of her heart's true ways He was worried what she'd say When he told her his love's gone away So they wait Time does tell all secrets hid Lives unfurl and hearts do quit Left alone, she tries to sleep Repeating these words so she might reach her dreams: Let those bells crash around your head Celebrate what you can Weave each gold and silver thread Through your humble hands
2.
Six cents in your palm, a sixth sense that you'll find yourself in the gutter Righting a wrong, writing a song, sweet as your mother Paying for your looks, paying for a book, give the cash to the teller Pen to the paper, penance for the doom from the notions of your slumber If you want me by your side, I'll be there Please don't live in caution, just be aware That the dreams you see as truths will vanish in the air As you open your eyes to the morning's glare Walk the pathway of glass, it will take your breath away Walk the pathway of glass, it will take your breath away Bring me home, don't look back, this is yours where we lay Walk the pathway of glass, it will take your breath away If you want me by your side, I'll be there Please don't live in caution, just be aware That the dreams we see as truths will vanish in the air As we open our eyes to the morning's glare
3.
Wanderer 04:39
Lonely little wanderer Hold your head up high Tear through the unkept trail Protect those golden eyes You'll be fine Hungry little wanderer Waiting for a sign Holding on to your breathe And running out of time You'll be fine Tired little wanderer Each second flying by Your mind three steps forward Your body two behind You'll be fine Translate the sound Hold on to your crown The trees keep coming down The trees keep coming down
4.
If you can feel, if you can see The light from the window stream on to me If you can feel, if you can see The dust from my travels woven through my knees Carry me home Love me true Spill the ash And see me through Back to you Boxes of puzzles stacked in threes Off of the gravel and now in the trees Boxes of matches thrown in the fire They warm my fingers in the coming hours Carry me home Love me true Spill the ash And see me through Back to you
5.
Wash 02:51
A cloud before the skyline hangs heavy in the air How do I know you're mine when you're never there? You rest behind my eyelids, you leave honey on my lips But when the rain starts crashing, you're up, gone, quit And it's washed away It's washed away A new day Wish you'd've stayed
6.
Montreal 05:22
I will collide the self and safe I will divide my mind and my state But I can prescribe the time and place For us to start our victory's chase I will throw it all when I go home to Montreal I will seek to solve when I park home in Montreal, in Montreal Flowers on our mantle grew And the scent of their sweet perfume Drifted throughout our dusty room Mix of the dance of sunlight and the blooms I will throw it all when I go home to Montreal I will seek to solve when I park home in Montreal, in Montreal The type of person this world breeds Everyone wants to succeed Don't lose the heart, the hurt, the need To keep our heads in reality I will throw it all when I go home to Montreal I will seek to solve when I park home in Montreal, in Montreal

about

“Mara is a gifted, poetic, creative, unique artist. Her lyrics & melodies paint impressionistic imagery as she performs. If there's a category called alt-prog-folk-art music, I'd say The Marigold is helping to define it.” - Rik Emmett (Triumph)
